WATERCOLOR: Basic Training

​We aren’t here to make you a master in only four weeks. But we will give you the skills and vocabulary you need to succeed with this remarkable medium! You will be able to continue on with Carol’s regular courses or other watercolor classes with confidence.
Our Basic Training Class will run four weeks, with real-time Zoom meetings taking place on the Saturdays of May 13th, May 20th, May 27th, and June 3rd at 9:30 AM PDT (12:30 PM EDT).

  • Basic watercolor techniques – Washes, dry brush, glazing, salt
  • How to research and use photographic resources and reference material

  • Carol Cottone holds an MFA and BFA and is a credentialed instructor and artist with 30+ years art teaching experience.
  • Katherine Kolthoff holds an MLIS and BA and has been working as technical and office support for Carol’s classes for the last three years.
